The Brunel Buffet, situated on Minehead Station's platform offers you the opportunity to have afternoon tea in a 1940's atmosphere. Use sugar tongs for your Tea and be waited on by our friendly staff.

Our menu includes:

Full English Breakfast (or Vegetarian Alternative)

Sandwiches or Pasties

Tea Cakes

Cream Teas

Variety of Drinks both Hot and Cold including Cappucino's or Milkshakes

Catering Special Trains

The West Somerset Railway runs a number of special trains throughout the year on which you can have a meal. These Include:

• Fish and Chips
• Murder and Mystery Trains
• Steam and Cream
• Jazz and Swing Evenings

We are staffed mostly by volunteers who work extremely hard to give a first class service to passengers. We not only cater on a daily basis for our scheduled trainsand the above specials but also for our special evening and day time Group bookings (please click the Blue Writing for more details).

Special Catering

In the coming year we will be catering for weddings and of course that special anniversary or birthday, not forgetting Mums and Dads on their special days. The sight of a steam train in all its glory waiting for a special bride would be a memory to treasure. The range of food can be from a finger buffet to a four course meal.

The challenge set by your demand for quality, service and value for money will be met by our department. We hope to rise to the ocassion to meet your special requirements for your particular special event. EARLY BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL to enable us to cater for you to the best of our ability.
