Share Ownership

These pages are for members of the Company and those wishing to become members of the Company Share purchases fund essential capital works and improvements to the Railway. The issued share capital is currently in excess of 3 million pounds. The company does not pay dividends. The directors of the Company have agreed a range of shareholder benefits that may vary from time to time. These benefits generally are related to the number of shares held and are set out below.

Summary of WSR Shareholder Application Pack

Shareholders with 1,000 Shares or more Will be issued with two free Travel Warrants (which allows for 2 free return journeys) for use during the Company’s Red, Blue or Yellow Timetables plus a 10% discount voucher on purchases through the retail shop in Minehead either in person or by Mail Order, plus vouchers for use in the Turntable Café (MD) and on train buffets. The Travel Vouchers are not available for use during Special Events, Value Added Events (e.g. Wine & Dine Trains etc.) or the Taunton Bus Link. Shareholders also receive notice of the Company Annual General Meeting and the Annual Report.

Silver Passes

New Shareholders who purchase 20,000 Shares (£2,000) or existing Shareholders who increase their holding to 20,000 Shares will benefit from to two free Travel Warrants (which allows for 2 free return journeys) for use during the Company’s Red, Blue or Yellow Timetables plus a 10% discount voucher on purchases through the retail shop in Minehead either in person or by Mail Order plus vouchers for use in the Turntable Café (MD) and on train buffets together with a Silver Pass which will enable the named person to travel free for life on any Company Timetabled Train including Galas. This Pass is not valid on Value Added Events or the Taunton Bus Link. You will also be able to take one additional person free if they travel with the Pass Holder(s). Silver Pass Holder also receive notice of the Company Annual General Meeting and the Annual Report.

Gold Passes

New Shareholders who purchase 40,000 Shares (£4,000) or existing Shareholders who increase their holding to 40,000 Shares will benefit from to two free Travel Warrants (which allows for 2 free return journeys) for use during the Company’s Red, Blue or Yellow Timetables plus a 10% discount voucher on purchases through the retail shop in Minehead either in person or by Mail Order plus vouchers for use in the Turntable Café (MD) and on train buffets together with a Gold Pass which will enable the named person to travel free for life on any Company Timetabled Train including Galas. This Pass is not valid on Value Added Events or the Taunton Bus Link. You will also be able to take up to three additional persons free if they travel with the Pass Holder. Gold Pass Holders also receive notice of the Company Annual General Meeting and the Annual Report.

Minimum Requirement

The minimum holding for a new Shareholder is the purchase of 1,000 Shares (£100).
